Pre-Litigation Associate – Personal Injury – Englewood, CO
Burg Simpson is seeking an Associate Attorney for an exciting opportunity to be part of its Personal Injury team.
Attorneys with 3-5 years of experience in Personal Injury Pre-Litigation case management are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, advocacy, research and writing skills. This position will work closely with clients, and collaborate with senior attorneys, other associates, and legal staff in developing case management strategies to achieve the best outcome on behalf of Burg Simpson clients. A license to practice law in Colorado is preferred.
SALARY RANGE: $105,000 – $120,000, Salary within the range is commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience.
Paralegal – Mass Tort – Englewood, CO
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal (3-5+ yrs) to join our Mass Tort team. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with a friendly, positive attitude and a high level of professionalism that will play a key supporting role in ensuring that our clients are well served.
The position will work closely with senior and associate level attorneys, and other Mass Tort administrative team members. The position requires:
- 3+ years of working in a litigation law firm (plaintiff litigation law firm experience is preferred, but not required)
- Experience reviewing, organizing and summarizing medical and other client-related documentation
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience in preparing and responding to written discovery
- The ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
- The ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships
- The ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload
- Microsoft Office 365 proficiency with a comfortable use of Excel spreadsheets (formatting, formulas, sorting and extracting data, etc.)
Salary Range: $55,000 – $60,000+. Although the full salary range for this position is provided, the determination of new hire salaries is dependent upon the candidate’s level of experience.

- Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and routine correspondence

Legal Assistant – Personal Injury Litigation – Englewood, CO
We are seeking a legal assistant with 3+ years of experience working in a litigation law firm, preferably in a personal injury or related practice area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the support of Shareholder and senior-level attorneys in a pre-litigation and litigation environment; set-up and assist with the maintenance of large electronic and paper files; request of medical, financial, and other case-related documents and records; electronic filing in both state and federal courts; calculate and calendar state and federal deadlines; scheduling of depositions, meetings, and hearings, travel; and direct client contact. The position requires:
- Experience in identifying, calculating, and calendaring federal and state statutory deadlines
- The ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines
- Be an exceptional listener and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Be willing and able to problem-solve and recommend solutions; must have excellent attention to detail

Our ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of progressive civil litigation experience (motions briefing, taking, and defending depositions, arguing motions, and trial or arbitration experience). This position will collaborate with senior attorneys, other associates, and legal staff in developing case management strategies for complex legal issues. A license to practice law in the state of Colorado is required.
SALARY RANGE: $120,000 – $145,000, salary within the range is commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience.
